Chia-Chi Huang was born in Kaoshiung, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1955. He received the B.S. degree from the National Taiwan University in 1977, and the M.S. and the Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, in 1980 and 1984, respectively. From 1984 to 1988, he was a RF and communication systems engineer with the Corporate Research and Development Center at the General Electric Company in Schenectady, NY, where he worked on designing mobile radio communication systems and networks. From 1988 to 1992, he joined the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY, as a research staff member working on designing indoor wireless communication systems and networks. Since August 1992, he has been with the Institute of Communications Engineering at the National Chiao-Tung University in Hsinchu, Taiwan, and was a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering until he retired in February 2021. His research interests cover various topics in mobile radio communications. |
